Abstract

The present proposal is based on the recognition that the Honduran population has on the cultural heritage, evidenced by the contribution of the settlers who raised problems and strategies to be implemented, given the cultural situation of their regions and which were reflected in the reports of the 9 Regional Culture Strategies in Honduras, which were elaborated in 2011. From these reports it turned out that the most coincident problem in the regional ones was the "devaluation of Cultural Heritage" and the strategy to be implemented that was repeated the most was "The promotion and appreciation of culture so that the population can enjoy it". And when reviewing the situation of patrimonial inventories and cultural television programs in Honduras, we find that inventories of built material heritage are incomplete and in the case of intangible heritage they are non-existent; On the other hand, the "cultural" programs that are broadcast on Honduran television have more of a tourist orientation, and not of promotion and exploitation of the cultural legacy. From this situation arises our main premise: You cannot take care, let alone value, what is not known. And with based on the above, the present model proposal was formulated, for the elaboration of a collectible album and a television program, as instruments of dissemination of cultural heritage and thus generate awareness in society for its responsible use and adequate conservation.
