About the Journal

Focus and scope

Revista Arquitectura + is a digital journal specializing in the publication of high-quality research-based articles and essays (original research or case studies) and academic work (literature reviews, critical essays, methodological studies). Its objective is to publish the results of research of professionals with the scientific community, in order to share their findings in architecture, urban planning, and related specialties, including reflection, analysis, and innovations, using efficient methodologies, that generate debates in themes of current interest, which involve theoretical and practical knowledge to generate new concepts in this field of study.

This is a space for the publication of works in the strategic areas of Design, Construction, Urban Planning, and Territory, defined in our university with the following themes: architectural design; sustainable architecture; technological innovation; construction systems; urban planning; territory, city and society; heritage and culture; and theory and history of architecture.

Revista Arquitectura + is published in digital form (e-ISSN: 2518-2943), with each article identified with a DOI (Digital Object Identifier).

Revista Arquitectura + (Nicaragua)

The first number was published in 2016, with semester frequency. It is edited by the Faculty of Architecture at the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería in Nicaragua.

Frequency of publication

The journal is published twice per year; the first number covering January-June (published in June), and the second covering July - December (published in December).

Target audience

Professionals, Researchers, and Scholars, with interest in research in fields of architecture, urban planning, and specialties related areas, nationally and internationally.

Code of ethics

The editorial process of Revista Arquitectura + is subject to the rules established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Open Access policy

The material of Revista Arquitectura + is published under the principles of open access of information, making the results of research available for reading and downloading for non-commercial purposes free of charge.

All the material published in the journal is shared under the Licencia Creative Commons Atribución-NoComercial-SinDerivar 4.0 , which indicates that copy and redistribution of material in any medium and format is permitted, under the condition of providing proper credit to the journal, author and work, and its use is without charge and without making modifications in its content.
